Finding Inspiration at Every Turn
In 2024 art historian Mariska returned to the Amsterdam after 30 years in London and New York.
A lot had changed including Amsterdam now being just as cosmopolitan as London or New York.
Impressed by the rich cultural offerings and lively cultural scene, Mariska was surprised to find
few events offered in English, despite the Dutch being so multi-lingual.

Many cultural institutions quickly understood the gap in their offerings, as did art historian Brigitte!
Excited by the project, a re-pat herself, and a expert at bringing like minded people together
in unique events, Brigitte and Mariska began to set up a platform for expats,
re-pats and culture loving Amsterdammers.

We hope that the events that we are planning will open up Dutch cultural destinations
to English speaking audiences, bring like minded people together,
and offer some unique and fun events in Amsterdam's cultural calendar.
