While Amsterdam is an international destination thanks to its picturesque cityscape and intimacy, its beauty and amiableness go far beyond what meets the eye. For over 400 years, it's been a metropolis for art, innovation, and values that not only made the Netherlands into an empire, but also helped shape the modern world. It's time to uncover the story of how this unique city came to be, with a focus on the time period that put the city and country on the map.


Led by Dutch art historian Mariska Beekenkamp-Wladimiroff in partnership with Art Historical London, this 1.5 hour virtual journey spanning back to the 16th century will include:
