Join Brigitte, Katinka and Mariska for a leisurely Summer lunch at a at a hidden rooftop gem and learn more about the start of the birthplace of multicultural, cosmopolitan Amsterdam!
Amsterdam East has long been a vibrant and diverse quarter. In the 17th century it was home to a significant Jewish community as well as many people of colour, Armenians and Protestants looking for a new home. Many of their stories are vividly captured in the works of masters such as Rembrandt van Rijn and Gerard Dou. We will explore how these artists depicted the people around them and what their paintings reveal about life in this extraordinary part of the city.
An ideal start to the season, relaxed, inspiring and with a spectacular view.
