Amsterdam Oost from Above: Lunch, Views & Local History

Amsterdam East has long been a vibrant and diverse quarter. In the 17th century it was home to a significant Jewish community as well as many people of colour, whose stories are vividly captured in the works of masters such as Rembrandt van Rijn and Gerard Dou. We will explore how these artists depicted the people around them and what their paintings reveal about life in this extraordinary part of the city.
